In the CDP of Guiuan, 40 participants who are members of various student clubs from Tubabao National High School participated in the three-day Child-Led Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) activity. The concept of DRR, the thematic aspects of disaster prevention, and mitigation, as well as the basics of contingency planning, were discussed through a partnership with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRO).

One of the significant contributions of GNIP in improving the health condition of the people in its target communities is the construction of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) facilities. This year, two WaSH facilities were turned-over to its two partner-schools, Candiis and Hinagtungan Elementary School in Laak, Compostela Valley Field Office. These facilities will address the issues on lack of access to water, and proper hygiene and health care education.
